BECOME PART OF A UNIQUE BUSINESS AND SPORTS PROJECT:
Bearing in mind how important health and sports are, especially in the recreational sense, for people who think too much about work and too little about themselves, we have designed a unique project – Business basketball league.
This unique sports competition was created by trained sports professionals, physiotherapists, doctors and business people – managers and entrepreneurs. Our goal with the project is to gather as many business people, managers and entrepreneurs as possible for sports and recreational activities, prevention, but also treatment of diseases (increasingly chronic among this population) and to encourage mutual companionship, competitive spirit and healthy spending of time outside business spheres.
Business league, although made up of basketball enthusiasts – amateurs, carries a competitive spirit and represents a kind of combination of managerial, entrepreneurial and business teams made up of competitors of one company, company, entrepreneurial venture.
Business basketball tournaments were played on March 3 and 10 and April 14 and 21, 2018.
THE FIRST FIVE SEASONS
In the first season of the league, which started on October 20, 2018, and ended on April 13, 2019, the following teams participated: ABB, Atlantic group, E&Y, Inter-net, KPMG, Pevec, PwC Croatia, RWE Energija, SportMixta and VIsage Technologies.
The following teams participated in the second season: EY, Pevex, Visage Technologies, PWC Croatia, Zagreb Philharmonic, Inter-net, Inspekt, EOn and Končar.
The following teams participated in the third season: EY, Pevex, Visage Technologies, Tokić, Poliklinika Help-Buljubasic, Ivicom, Končar, SofaScore, Fortenova group, NovaTV and HRT.
The following teams participated in the fourth season: E&Y, Azikus, Visage Technologies, Končar, Fortenova group, Pevex, Ivicom, NovaTV, Sofascore, HRT(m)animals, House of code, PwC Croatia and Fizioteka.
The following teams participated in the fifth season: E&Y, Azikus, Visage Technologies, Končar, Fortenova group, Pevex, Ivicom, Sofascore, House of code, PwC Croatia, Gospođica Bobica, Happening, Coach4you & Rimac.
FINAL FOUR TOURNAMENT
For the first time, our league participated in the Regional final four tournament, which brings together business basketball leagues from neighboring countries, in June 2023. Business basketball league was represented by team E&Y, champions of the fourth season, in Banja Luka and won a great silver medal!
We were the host of the 2024 tournament, and the champions were replaced on the field by the Ivicom team, which fought with dignity against teams from Banja Luka, Niš and Belgrade. In 2025, the tournament will be hosted by the league from Niš, and the champion of the sixth season of the BBL will have the honor of defending our colors!
